Penshaw Equestrian Centre invites you to an informative evening of Show Jumping on Friday 1st August 6.30 pm start
Presented by Anneli Davison BHSII (T) SM, APCC, BA (hons) and Natasha Andrews UKCC4 (BEF) Coach, UKCC3 (BS) National Program Developing Coaching Excellence, Pg Dip Veterinary Physiotherapy, APC, this interactive demonstration will show how the stages of training are used to help the horse and rider to jump consistent clear rounds and build rider confidence.
Beginning with flat work, we will demonstrate exercises to help develop both accuracy and balance
We will then progress to polework and cavaletti to demonstrate how these can help to develop horse strength, condition and proprioception. We will also explain how to develop the riders balance, their ability to ride accurate lines to fences and how to “see a stride”
Progressing to fences, we will demonstrate exercises to help riders achieve accurate lines to fences using gymnastic exercises to develop both horse and rider balance and confidence.
We will then show how to incorporate exercises into a course to show the progression from flatwork to course riding with an emphasis on the scales of training.
All horses and demo riders will be school horses, instructors and clients showcasing the skills of the fabulous horses and team here at Penshaw Equestrian Centre
